Tehqeeqat-e-Rehmaniya
Khawaja Muhammad Abdur Rehman Choharvi was born in Chohar Sharif, a village in the district of Haripur, KP, Pakistan. His father, Khawaja Faqir Muhammad Khizri, was also a revered mystic, known for his deep spiritual connection with Hazrat Khidr and possessing a unique spiritual status. As a prominent figure of the Qadiria order, Khawaja Abdul Rahman Choharvi made significant contributions to society through his spiritual guidance, intellectual insights, and prolific writings. His teachings have had a lasting impact, influencing not only the Indian subcontinent but also
extending to Bangladesh, the Arab world, and the West.
A key mission of the Institute of Research, Development, and Innovation (IRDI) is to study, research, and publish Khawaja Abdul Rahman Choharvi’s profound teachings, philosophy, and written works. According to his philosophy, Sufism is a practical science, beginning with the purification of thought. Like the great Sufi masters before him, Khawaja Choharvi emphasized that the essence of Sufism lies in the correction of one’s thoughts. This purification process guards individuals against moral corruption, instills positive values, and empowers them to attain a higher mastery—the
ultimate key to unlocking the secrets of the universe.
The methodologies and principles that underpin this process, as outlined by Khawaja Choharvi and demonstrated by Sufi masters in their training and guidance, form the central focus of ongoing research projects at IRDI. Several scholarly studies on his teachings have already been completed, with many more currently underway, highlighting the continued relevance of his spiritual legacy.
